Langkawi is a tax-free island. So the prices are very low.
Food are very cheap, you can have a good meal for 5 Dollars.
Taxi is also very cheap, you can rent one a whole day for 20 Dollars. He will also show you the island and tell you all about it. If you want to rent a motorbike or a car it will cost you 25 Dollars a day. You will not leave any black mark in the asphalt, but it bring you were you want to go. The petrol costs 20 cent a liters.
For you who like Whisky, like I do. Will be very happy. A good bottle of fine whisky costs 15 Dollars a liters. isn't that great! 		  We don't recomend that you try to beat down the price of anything. The Langkawi peoples are not used to bargin. It is not like Thailand!
